As spring break brought a well-earned pause, exciting progress continued across Kenowa Hills Public Schools. Our new baseball and softball fields are entering the final stages of construction, with finishing touches now underway. From upgraded playing surfaces to improved amenities for athletes and fans alike, these enhancements are designed to elevate the game-day experience and support our student-athletes for years to come. With the season just around the corner, we’re eager to welcome our community back to fields that reflect the pride and momentum of Kenowa Hills.

As spring break came to a close, the new baseball and softball facilities at Kenowa Hills Public Schools are nearly ready to welcome students and the community back. Major components of the project are now complete, including the dugouts and ticket booth, which are in place and ready for the season ahead. The press box and concession stand are also coming together, with final finishing touches underway. The varsity fields feature turf playing surfaces, allowing for use this season, while the JV fields will remain out of play until next season to allow the natural grass to fully establish. As construction wraps up, teams have already begun their seasons and are looking forward to returning to these upgraded home fields soon. From the view above in the press box to the details inside and around the dugouts, these spaces reflect a strong focus on both functionality and the overall game day experience.

Supporting the fields, a new storage support barn has been constructed to house athletic equipment, providing a dedicated and organized space for teams throughout the seasons. Nearby, work continues with concrete being poured around the tennis courts and parking lot, helping to complete the surrounding site improvements. With just a few final details remaining, the entire complex is quickly coming together and will soon provide a space the Kenowa Hills community can take pride in.

These upgrades represent an important investment in our student-athletes and the experiences they share on and off the field. Be sure to check back for future updates as Phase 2 of the athletic improvements continues to take shape near the stadium, bringing even more enhancements to Kenowa Hills in the months ahead.
