Fall Progress at Kenowa Hills

The seasons have turned since our last look at Kenowa Hills Public Schools, and so has the progress. On a recent fall visit, we walked finished athletic spaces already in use and watched new learning areas take shape at the Early Childhood Center. Here is where things stand.
Early Childhood Center
At the Early Childhood Center, the addition keeps moving forward. Unit B is prepped and ready for its slab on grade, the finished concrete floor that will anchor the space. When complete, this area will hold six classrooms and an extended learning area.

The new exterior wall masonry on the existing part of the building is up and rebuilt. Inside, the layout is coming together with three new offices, a teacher lounge and classroom, gang bathrooms, and a freezer door entry. Crews have run new ductwork and electrical conduit throughout the existing building space. A temporary wall keeps the work area separated for now.
Team Rooms and Multipurpose Field
The team room work we have been following is complete, and it is already seeing action. The football teams are now using the finished space, a fitting milestone after months of steady work.

To the north of the football field, the multipurpose field reached a big moment of its own. Crews laid the turf about a week ago, and fencing and concrete are now finishing up around it.

Nearby, four tennis and pickleball courts are coming together for community use. Fencing goes in this week, with the top coat and painted lines to follow. An exterior sidewalk will be added in a few weeks to round out the space.

Building Toward the Finish
From locker rooms full of student-athletes to classrooms taking form, this fall visit showed real progress across Kenowa Hills. We will keep sharing updates as these spaces get closer to opening day!
