More Exciting Developments Ahead for Kenowa Hills Public Schools!

In 2024, the Kenowa Hills community voted to approve a $37 million school bond program aimed at upgrades and additions to outdoor activity and learning spaces surrounding Kenowa Hills High School and Middle School. This project will unfold over several years, with key developments enhancing schools, sports infrastructure, and community amenities. Here’s a look at the exciting work ahead that begins in the summer of 2025.
Phase 1: Athletic Facility Improvements
The first phase focuses on upgrading our athletic facilities, including:
JV and Varsity Softball and Baseball Fields: New, modern fields for both junior varsity and varsity teams.
Concessions and Press Box: A new press box and concessions area to support events.
Restrooms and Dugouts: Updated restrooms and dugouts for better game-day experience.
Practice/Community Fields: Three new fields for school teams and community use.
These upgrades will elevate the athletic experience for students and the community alike.
Phase 2: Stadium and Multipurpose Turf Field
Phase 2 will bring a multipurpose turf field stadium with:
Multipurpose Turf Field: A versatile turf field for sports and events.
Bleachers, Press Box, and Team Room: New seating, media space, and a dedicated team room.
Restrooms and Dugouts: Additional restrooms and dugouts for convenience.
This new stadium will serve as a hub for school and community sporting events.
New Tennis and Pickleball Courts
The program also includes the construction of new tennis and pickleball courts, open to both students and the community, providing a valuable recreational space.
Early Childhood Center Expansion
Simultaneously, Phase 2 of the 2020 bond program is underway at the Early Childhood Center, including:
8-Classroom Addition to accommodate growing enrollment.
Remodeling and Site Improvements to enhance safety and accessibility.
New Playgrounds for young students to enjoy.
